Skipping Meals

Signs of nutritional deficiency can show in our skin, so make sure you are loading up on foods filled with vitamins and healthy fats at every meal to build up your skin’s health. Also skipping meals cause skin to age faster and dry out quickly.

Picking at your blemishes can spread infection, and eventually worsen your acne. Picking at skin will push dirt and bacteria into pores which results in more acne breakouts.Not to use your hand on face unnecessarily is the best choice when it comes to your skin.

Long, Hot Showers

Most of us would like to get into a long hot shower after a hectic day, but doing that on a regular basis for longer hours will strip the essentials oils from our skin causing it to very dry, flaky and look more wrinkled. So when your skin starts to turn reddish, you know it time to step out. One shower a day with water that is not too hot is preferable.

Cleansing, nourishing and exfoliating is important to keep the skin healthy, but over-moisturizing or over-exfoliating the skin can be harmful. When you exfoliate your skin too much it can can strip it of its essential oils it needs to maintain your natural glow of the skin. It advisable to exfoliate your skin once a week to keep it healthy and nourished.

Lack of Sleep

Lack of sleep is one of the main causes of various skin problems like premature aging, psoriasis etc. Getting the recommended eight hours of sleep at night will not only help you look revitalized, but it will also replenish and rehydrate skin. Not getting a good night’s sleep can result in dull skin and clogged pores.

Dirty Pillowcases

If you’re not washing or changing your pillowcases frequently enough, you may be unknowingly causing harm to your skin. At night, skin sheds it dead cells which will build up over time on pillowcase causing bacteria to form on it. In order to keep skin healthy, make sure you change your pillowcase at least once every two weeks.
